How long do you stay at the wedding for? That depends on which package you book. Our "normal" coverage is the bridal preparations through to sitting down for the wedding breakfast. We have options for extended evening coverage. Do we get all the pictures printed? All our packages, except digital only, get a printed proof book containing printed proofs of all the pictures taken on the day that pass our quality control. How many pictures do you take? The number of pictures taken depends on the size of the crowd, the amount of time available and other issues like the weather. Normally for a "standard" wedding you will get around 250 pictures in your proof, however we never count the pictures we take so you may have more. How quickly will the pictures be ready Your photographs will normally be available online on your password protected gallery within 21 days of your wedding date. The proof book and DVD slideshow should be with you within 10 days of the pictures being available online. Can we get a DVD of all the pictures to print? Yes you can. We charge £250 for a disk with everything on it at high resolution with "Permission to Print" for your storage, safe keeping and you can also print from this disk, upload to Facebook or email these photographs to friends. Will you photograph everyone? Normally we will try and get pictures of everyone at your wedding, if we are photographing a big group shot we will try to get everyone on it, allowing for people who always disappear at this point :) We will also normally get shots of people mingling during the day. We will ask during our pre-wedding meeting if there is anyone special we need to get photographs of. What would be your standard group photographs? We would photograph the bridesmaids & ushers with the bride and groom, both sets of parents separately and together in whatever format they may take, shoot one family and then the other family and the rest is up to you. We can normally do a large group shot if required. Often that would be all, but we are sometimes asked to photograph grandparents, friends and so on, all with the bride and groom. We try to ensure that group photographs take no more that 15-20 minutes. We would also take some time out to photograph the bride and groom as well, this is normally be between 15-45 minutes depending on the time available. Do we have to have group pictures? No, of course not. Many couples loath the thought of them and I fully understand why! It is up to you, but do warn your families if you propose not to have any formal shots as it may well be them that object and possibly ask for specific shots. Do you shoot with film or digital ? When we photographed our first wedding everything was film based, now we shoot everything digitally. There are now major differences in shooting digital weddings, we tend to shoot more photographs and spend much more time in front of a computer editing the pictures to get the best from them, we can provide online web galleries much easier than with film, we can do, if requested, special digital effects and even remove people from wedding photographs. What are story book albums? Storybook albums are printed directly to the page without matts (unlike traditional albums), these layouts are design in-house to suit your wedding and personalities so no two wedding albums are the same. These image are then bound into a book. Horizontal and vertical formats available and also a complete range of parent albums. The storybook albums can have any style of wedding photography, traditional or reportage or a combination of both. Dobege Photography currently use albums from suppliers such as Graphistudio, Sim2000 Imaging and Loxely Bellissimo Albums. An example of a Graphistudio Layout can be seen here and an example of a Simimaging storybook layout can be seen here Are you members of any professional bodies? We are members of the Society of Wedding and Portrait photographers. Do we have to meet you to book you? We cover weddings all over the UK and beyond, normally we find it easier to meet with Brides and grooms to discuss there requirements but we do understand this is sometimes not possible. If we cannot meet we will have a number of discussion prior to your wedding by telephone and email to make sure your day goes as smoothly as possible. Do you visit the wedding locations before the day? We have photographed at many of Cheshire and Manchester venues, if we have not photographed at a location before we will generally arrive early to check out the best locations for your photographs. How do we book you? Once you have decided on Dobege for your wedding photography please contact us and we will reserve you wedding day. We will then send you our standard booking contract and will ask for the booking fee to be paid. On receipt of this your date will be booked into our diary. This booking fee can be paid via Cash, Credit Card or Cheque. When do we pay you? We take a £200.00 booking fee to book the day which is payable when you complete our paperwork. The balance is due 30 days prior to your wedding. Additional orders for prints, parents albums, extra DVD's are payable with order. Backup Equipment / Lighting? We carry backup equipment for everything we use, including backup cameras, flash equipment and lenses. We also carry umbrellas and towels should the need arise :) Are you insured? We carry full public and professional liability insurance. Do you photograph the actual ceremony? This is all dependent on the registrar or priest conducting the ceremony. Some are very good and will work with us to allow us to capture your special moment, some ban photographers from taking pictures inside their churches during any part of the ceremony. (Normally we can get pictures of the signing of the register). Do you work alone? We work as a team of two photographers, one male, one female, this allows us to cover parts of your wedding from two angles and allows one photographer to help arrange groups etc. Do you do more than one wedding a day? We never shot more than one wedding in a day, we want to be concentrating on getting the best shots of your wedding. What areas do you cover? We are based on the border of Cheshire and Greater Manchester. This allows us to cover the whole of the Northwest including Lancashire, North Wales, Derbyshire, Shropshire and Cumbria. In the last couple of years we have shot in Hampshire, Northumberland, and Hertforshire. We will however cover anywhere in the UK or worldwide. Do you charge travel expenses?
