Jennifer & Nabeel Wedding at Blackbrook House

A small selection of  photographs from the wedding of Jennifer & Nabeel at Blackbrook House, Belper, Derbyshire.

Jen & Nab’s wedding took place in the heart of Derbyshire on a day when the snow was 2ft deep. The venue looked idyllic covered in snow and inside was decorated in Christmas greens and twinkle lights.

With several lit-up dwarf Christmas trees lining the walls of the ceremony room the Christmas theme was truly captured and made it look extremely magical. A choir entertained the guests and sang beautifully as the bride walked down the isle.

The couple decided to brave the snow for some pictures outside. Jen had planned ahead with huge snow boots and a lovely bridal umbrella at the ready. We clumped through the deep snow to the middle of the grounds to take some romantic snow covered pictures of the couple in the unspoiled snow with a backdrop of the Derbyshire countryside. The pictures were worth getting wet for and I know they won’t regret taking time out from their winter wonderland wedding to freeze in the snow for a bit!

The favours were fantastic baubles with guests names written on them in glitter and the tables were labelled with mirrors frosted with Las Vegas hotel names. There was also Krispy Kreme donut tower set up in the evening that looked very delicious.

Jen & Nabs had planned the perfect day that all went very smoothly considering the extreme weather. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously and would like to thank Blackbrook House for all their help on the day.

Katie & James Wedding – Bartle Hall

Here are a few of the images we provided to Katie & James at their wedding at Bartle Hall.

Special thanks go to Hannah of Bartle Hall for her help.

We had a great time at Katie and James wedding in early November. They were very lucky with the weather as it had been horrible and raining the day before but the sun had decided to come out and play, which was great because the grounds at Bartle Hall are extensive and very pretty, it would have been a shame to not use them.

Although it was sunny and clear with it being November it was very chilly outside. We took a group shot of everyone outside from an upstairs window and proceeded to take pictures of Katie and James down by the very picturesque pagoda away from the main building. Katie dealt with the cold very well, though I think it was all the cuddles she was getting from her new husband that was keeping her warm.:)

We managed to get quite a few pictures of James and Katie’s young toddler Jacob but he wasn’t too keen on the idea since he was feeling rather poorly that day. We captured him having a walk with his Grandparents and being cuddled by various family members.

The reception room was decorated in deep purples and looked very romantic, the cake was beautiful with a very intricate pattern imprinted into the white icing. Katie hadn’t imagined that the room would look so very beautiful and it brought a tear to her eye when she saw her cake. We took a few pictures of the details, place settings and favours and then pictures of the couple standing in the centre of the room before their guests would arrive over there (they were all still in the bar) so Katie and James could have pictures of the room in all it’s glory in their album.

My favourite photo of the day has to be in the morning when Katie wasn’t in her dress yet. She had sat down in a chair facing away from the dressing table and she just turned round to look at her makeup in the mirror. An excellent capture shot in which she looks very beautiful and thoughtful.

It was a great day for a lovely couple and we wish them a happy life together.

Alex & Jamies – Trash the Dress / Cherish the Dress

Thank you so much – we have such fantastic, happy memories of a spectacular Sunday in September and the photographs prove it.” - Alex and Jamie

Alex & Jamie’s – Trash the Dress / Cherish the Dress session

We had a great day with Alex & Jamie shooting a Trash the Dress/Cherish the Dress session. We used three locations for this shoot, the first was the grounds of The National Slate Museum in Llanberis, Wales. There is a lovely little bridge over a small segment of Llynpadarn Lake and some very interesting trees with boughs big enough to sit on. We also used some huge rocks at the edge of the lake and we had a ride on a boat The Snowdon Star (www.snowdonstar.co.uk) which gave us fantastic views of the land behind the happy couple. It turned out to be a very romantic shooting location where Alex and Jamie could feel like the only soles for miles around (other than us of course but we don’t count!).

The second location was Abersoch beach where we made use of the brightly coloured beach huts. Alex and Jamie went barefoot here so they could feel relaxed and we could capture them looking very natural. They sat looking out to sea so it seemed very fitting to have “Love” traced in the sand in front of them. The dress didn’t suffer at all, just a few sand granules here and there. We were so lucky with the sunny weather, Jamie decided to wear his sunglasses and we captured him looking very cool in them!

Alex and Jamie had expressed a wish to go in the sea in their finery so our third location was Hells Mouth Beach, a beach which they frequent and love. We captured them rolling around in the sand, having a romantic stroll and for our final shots they had a dance in the sea. The sun was low in the sky by this time, the perfect romantic light. The dress didn’t get trashed, just a bit of sand to wash off when she got home. A wonderful way of showing off her dress for the last time and letting us capture the love between the couple.
